"Revolutions" in Morocco?

Hey, Readers. Many people are saying that Morocco is a pour country with no industrial or/and technological revolutions. You guys shouldn’t' even ask yourself this Question. The answer is yes, yes and yes. Morocco in these past 10 years developed hugely and has gone through many Industrial Revolutions and Technological Revolutions.

First of all in the Technology branch internet in Morocco is much modernized and is about the same level the US has. The only thing is that wire-less everywhere still doesn’t work with all phones. Internet is very fast. Morocco also has 3G+ Modems, which allow a computer to access internet in 99% of Morocco if using the line of Wana, a new agency for communication owned by L'ONA, or the line of Maroc Telecom. Meditel has faster 3G+ internet than the other but not more than 40% of Morocco. Moroccans are able to learn and expand their knowledge thanks to the modern internet. Communication with foreign countries became cheaper than before.

Then comes all what is manufactured. Morocco doesn't manufacture that much but exports. 2 years ago a car brand started to become manufactured in Morocco. Dacia is the brand. Dacia is a car for the average person. More brands from foreign countries of the Bourgeoisie class came and open in Morocco. From clothing to food to watches and jewelry. Rolex, Chopard, Le Nôtre, Cartier, Dior and Fauchan... are brands that and average person can't afford. Morocco has many rich people that buy this and contribute to the economy. In 2012 more brand will come in because Morocco will enter and era of Globalization.

Other projects have been presented to Morocco like Transportation or Buisnesses. These things will not be discussed in our blog post because as I said they are Projects.

But a new way of transporation that already appeared in Morocco 50 years ago and will reapear hopefully in 2015 is the TRAM. The TRAM serves as bus does but reduces Pollution in the air and maybe reduce the number of Cars.

Johnson's Reconstruction plan:
Andrew Johnson was the 17th president of the U.S. Andrew Johnson decided to make a reconstruction plan like the one Abraham Lincoln started. Former Confederates were pardoned and the state governments were restored.

Black Codes:

According to the book "America Pathways To the Present" Black Codes are " Laws that restricted freedmen's rights(206). The white men would use the freedmen's as slaves but would pay them. Freedmen's right were still low even if they are no more slaves. He are some examples of how they would kind of treat freemen's as slaves.

" Curfews- Generally, black people could not gather after sunset.
Vagrancy laws- Freedmen convicted of vagrancy- that is, noy working-could be fined, whipped, or sold for a year's labor.
Larbor contracts- Freedment had to sign agreements in January for a year work. Those who quit in the middle of a contract often lost all the wages they had earned.

Land restrictions- Freed people could rent land or homes only in rural areas. This restrictions forced them to live on plantations." (206)

14th & 15th Amendment:
In June 1866, Congress passed a Civil Rights Act that outlawed the Black Codes, which made all people Equally protected . The 15th amendment made the Freedmen equal to the white men by having the right to vote. This Amendment was ratified March 1870.

Radical Reconstruction:

A small group of people who were against the Johnson's reconstruction policies. They were also againt The Black codes. Their main goal was to make give Freedmen civil rights.

South Vs North

North Advantages:

The Northern side of America had Twice as much Railroad track than the South. Railroad gives you the ability to move troops and exchange good very quickly and easily.

The North had a balanced economy and many factories. Factories produced war products and also very important products as cloths, shoes, gloves etc.
The North was well prepared for war they already had a functioning government and a small army and navy.
More men were avaible to Fight and stay behind to work.

South Advantages:
The majority of Millitary colleges were located on the Southern Territory!

Compromise

In class today we discussed about the Missouri Compromise. Willingly I wanted to extend my knowledge about this and decided to answer some reflection questions. In what situation will compromise not work? I will also give a non-negotiable situation that could happen in a teenager’s life. I’m also going to describe in both situations why compromise would not work or be the best pathway to follow.

Compromise will not work in religious beliefs. An example is when the man doesn’t give privileges to the woman: Not showing her hair, to not wear clothes that will show her feet, stomach, breast, hair, or even sometimes their face and whole body. The Missouri Compromise wouldn’t work because half of America still has slavery, and the best path way to follow is to stop slavery completely in all America.
